The Dance Party is a high-energy power-pop quartet from Prince George's County, Maryland. The band has earned a loyal following in the Washington, DC area by playing packed shows at esteemed venues such as 9:30 Club, The Black Cat, DC9, and Iota.

The Dance Party generated buzz around the city with the release of their first EP - "The Dance Party EP" - produced by Grammy award-winning engineer Drew Doucette of Dischord Records' Beauty Pill. Now, the band is releasing their debut full-length - "Friction! Friction! Friction!" - as they continue to play bigger shows to broader audiences.

However, The Dance Party is best known for their frantic/frenetic live shows as well as their catchy songwriting which has garnered them fans and friends alike in the D.C. music community.
